EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 76.067 points on Sunday
The Egyptian pound index declined against the major currencies during Sunday December 4 trading. The index reached 76.067 points, compared to 76.488 points at the end of last week.
The Egyptian pound index declines against two major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It fell against the Pound Sterling, the Chinese yuan, euro and the Japanese yen and remained stable against the US dollar, the Saudi Riyal and the UAE dirham.
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt rose from EGP 29.97to EGP 30.25 at the end of Wednesday trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 29.42 to EGP 29.43.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 3.47 to EGP3.50 pounds, while the buying price increased from EGP3.46to EGP 3.49.
The average selling price of the euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 25.68 to EGP 25.94, and the average buying price rose to 25.85.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 18.06 to 18.32 pounds while the buying price fell from EGP 18.01 to EGP 18.26 pounds.
The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt remained stable at EGP 24.60 for selling, and 24.53 pounds for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt remained stable at EGP 6.54 for buying and EGP 6.52 for selling.
