EGP index rise against a basket of major currencies on Tuesday

The Egyptian pound index rose against the major currencies during today’s trading, Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The EGP index value rose to 76,030 points, compared to 75,900 points at the end of yesterday’s trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against four major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt decreased from 30.27 pounds to 30.13 pounds at the end of the day's trading, while the average buying price decreased from 30.17 pounds to 30.03 pounds.

 

The average selling price of the euro in Egypt decreased from 26.06 pounds to 25.94 pounds in today's dealings, while the average purchase price decreased from 25.97 pounds to 25.85 pounds.

 

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from 3.54 pounds to 3.52 pounds at the end of the day's trading, while the purchase price fell from 3.52 pounds to 3.51 pounds.

 

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from 18.21 pounds to 18.11 pounds at the end of the day's trading, while the purchase price fell from 18.15 pounds to 18.05 pounds.

 

The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt rose from 24.60 pounds to 24.64 pounds at the end of the day's trading, while the purchase price increased from 24.53 pounds to 24.56 pounds.

 

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt rose from 6.54 pounds to 6.55 pounds at the end of the day's trading, while the purchase price increased from 6.52 pounds to 6.53 pounds.

 

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt also stabilized at 6.70 pounds for sale, while the purchase price increased from 6.67 pounds to 6.68 pounds at the end of today's trading.
