EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 76.167 points on Wednesday

The Egyptian pound index rose against the major currencies during Monday December 5 trading. The index reached 76.167 points, compared to 76.030 points yesterday.

The Egyptian pound index rose against three major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It rose against the Pound Sterling, the Japanese yen and the euro and remained stable against the US dollar, the Saudi Riyal and the UAE dirham

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt fell from EGP 30.13 EGP 29.94 at the end of Wednesday trading, while the average buying rate declines from EGP 3.03 to EGP 29.84.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 3.50 to EGP3.54 pounds, while the buying price increased from EGP3.49 6to EGP 3.54.

The average selling price of the euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 25.94 to EGP 25.87 and the average buying price rose to 25.85.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 18.11 to 17.19 pounds while the buying price fell from EGP 18.05 to EGP 17.85 pounds.

The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt remained stable at EGP 24.64 for selling, and 24.56 pounds for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt remained stable at EGP 6.55 for selling and EGP 6.53 for buying.

The average rate  of the UAE dirham in Egypt also settled at 6.70 pounds for selling, and 6.68 pounds for  buying at the end of today's trading.
