EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 75.96 points on Sunday
The Egyptian pound index fell against the major currencies during Sunday December 11 trading session. The index reached 75.960 points, compared to 76.080 points on Thursday.
The Egyptian pound index rose against 5 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It fell against the pound sterling, the euro, the Japanese yen, the Chinese yuan and the UAE dirham, and remained stable against the Dollar and the Saudi riyal
The average rate price of the pound sterling in Egypt rose from EGP 29.98 at the end of last week's trading to EGP30.21 at the end of today's trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP 29.88 to EGP 30.10.
The average rate of the euro in Egypt rose from EGP25.92 at the end of last week's trading to EGP 25.96 at the end of today's trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP25.83 to EGP 25.87
The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 18.01 at the end of last week's trading to EGP 18.04 at the end of today's trading, while the buying price rose from EGP 17.95 to EGP17.98.
The average rate of the Chinese yuan in Egypt rose from EGP 3.53 at the end of last week's trading to EGP 3.54 pounds at the end of today's trading, while the buying price settled at 3.52 pounds.
The average rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt rose from EGP 6.70 at the end of last week's trading to 6.71, while the buying price remained stable at EGP6.68 at the end of today's trading.
