CBE’s net profits grow by 12.1%, recording EGP 107.7 bn in October 2024

The list of the financial position of the Central Bank of Egypt, ended October 31, 2024, revealed that it achieved a net profit growth rate of 12.1% and an increase of EGP 11.61 bn over the past month, registering EGP 107.69 bn, compared to 96.06 bn during September.

The total assets of CBE rose by 28.54% and an increase of EGP 1.38 trillion during the first 10 months of this year, registering EGP 6.21 trillion by the end of October 2024, compared to 4.83 trillion by the end of December 2023.

Gold stocks jumped at a growth rate of 109.60% and an increase of about EGP 285.14 bn during the first 10 months of this year, registering EGP 545.31 bn by the end of October 2024, compared to about 260.17 bn by the end of December 2023.

CBE's balances in Banks rose to EGP 932.18 bn by the end of October 2024, compared to 515.86 bn by the end of December 2023, growing by 80.71% and registering an increase of EGP 416.33 bn during the first 10 months of this year.

The Central Bank of Egypt's contributions to the capital of international financial institutions rose by 20.46% and increased by EGP 4.45 bn for the first 10 months of this year, registering EGP 26.21 bn by the end of October 2024, compared to 21.76 bn by the end of December 2023.

The Bank's contributions to the capital of subsidiaries rose to EGP 79.10 bn by the end of October 2024, compared to 47.82 bn by the end of December 2023, growing by 65.41% and an increase of EGP 31.28 bn during the first 10 months of this year.

Total equity at CBE rose by 8.13% and an increase of EGP 31.94 bn during the first 10 months of this year, registering EGP 424.75 bn by the end of October 2024, compared to 392.81 bn by the end of December 2023.

CBE’s reserves increased by 8.60% and an increase of EGP 31.94 bn during the first 10 months of this year, registering EGP 403.15 bn by the end of October 2024, compared to 371.21 bn by the end of December 2023, while CBE’s capital recorded EGP 21.6 bn in capital by the end of October.
