EGP index increase against a basket of foreign currency to 75.684 points

The Egyptian pound index increased against major currencies during Sunday December 18 trading. The index reached 75.684 points, compared to 76.487 points  at the end of last week.

The Egyptian pound index increased against three major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It rose against the Pound Sterling, the euro and the Japanese yen and remained stable against the US dollar, the Saudi Riyal, Chinese yuan, and the UAE dirham.

The average selling price of the Pound Sterling in Egypt decreased from EGP 30.44 to EGP30.01 pounds, while the buying price decreased from EGP 30.34 to EGP 29.91

The average selling price of the euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 26.24 pounds to EGP 26.16, while the average buying price fell from EGP 26.15 to EGP 26.07.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 18.10 to EGP 18.08 at the, while the buying price fell from EGP 18.04 to EGP 18.02

The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt remained stable at EGP 24.71 for selling, and  EGP 24.63 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt remained stable at EGP 6.57 for buying and EGP 6.63 for selling.

The average selling price of the UAE Dirham in Egypt remained stable at  EGP 6.72 for selling, and EGP 6.70  for buying at the end of today's trading.
