Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 31 December 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.4% to record EGP 473.624 bn compared to EGP 471.795 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.25% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

 The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 352.864 mn which represents 14.07%of the total trading volume today after 7.693 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.90% of the total trading volume.

 The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

 The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 1.42% to reach 29.740 points EGX70 increases by 2.14% to record 8.143 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   2.04% to record 11.217 points.
