Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 20 January 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.8% to record EGP 461.297 bn compared to EGP 464.853 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.15% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 297.159 mn which represents 7.70% of the total trading volume today after 9.704 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.47% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.37% to reach 29.857 points EGX70 increases by 0.49% to record 8.396 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.23% to record 11.517 points.
