EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.709 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during 23 January 2025, the index reached 38.709 points, compared to 38.621 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 7 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal and fell against Chinese Yuan.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 50.37 to EGP 50.33 while the average buying  fell from EGP 50.27 to EGP 50.23 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 53.46 to EGP 52.35 while the average buying fell from EGP 52.48 to EGP 52.24 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 62.25 to EGP 61.95 while the average buying fell from EGP 62.10 to EGP 61.81 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 32.29 to EGP 32.17 while the average buying decreased from EGP 32.22 to EGP 32.10 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 13.71 to EGP 13.70 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.68 to EGP 13.67 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 13.42 to EGP 13.41 while the average buying  setteled at EGP 13.39 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 6.93 to EGP 6.90 while the average buying price fell from EGP 6.91 to EGP 6.89 at the end of today's trading.
