Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 26 January 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.2% to record EGP 464.799 bn compared to EGP 463.792 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.43% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

 The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 169.868 mn which represents  4.82% of the total trading volume today after 4.341 million shares were exchanged capturing  0.23% of the total trading volume.

 The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

 The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.12% to reach 30.276 points EGX70 decrease by 0.12% to record 8.592 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decrease by   0.09% to record 11,762 points.
