Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 29 January 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.07% to record EGP 459.813 bn compared to EGP 459.495 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

 The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 190.731 mn which represents 3.80% of the total trading volume today after 4.416 million shares were exchanged capturing  0.26% of the total trading volume.

 The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

 The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.83% to reach 29.982 points EGX70 increases by 0.93% to record 8.633 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   0.95% to record 11.771 points.
