Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 30 January 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.01% to record EGP 459.748 bn compared to EGP 459.813 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.44% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

 The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 303.405 mn which represents 6.76% of the total trading volume today after 6.509 million shares were exchanged capturing  0.37% of the total trading volume.

 The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

 The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.40% to reach 30.127 points EGX70 decrease by 0.51% to record 8.651 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by   0.31% to record 11.810 points.
