Suez Canal Bank achieved an exceptional performance in granting credit to its customers over the past year, pushing it to register the fastest annual growth rate in total customer loan portfolio over the last 7 years at 113.31%, reaching 79.17 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 37.11 billion by the end of 2023, an increase of 42.05 billion pounds, the largest ever. 

In terms of growth rates during the period under analysis, the Bank recorded growth in the total portfolio of its customer loans at rates of 15.49%, 25.13% and 26.41% during 2023, 2022 and 2021, and increased by 10.32%, 9.48% and 9.48% during 2020, 2019 and 2018. 

The substantial increase in the volume of its customer loans over the past year was driven by a significant jump in corporate finance, which rose by 121%, to 73.67 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared with 33.40 billion pounds by the end of 2023, marking an increase of 40.27 billion pounds.

In addition, the Bank's total retail loans portfolio rose by 48% and an increase of about 1.78 billion pounds over the past year, moving from 3.71 billion pounds by the end of 2023, reaching 5.49 billion by the end of 2024.

Overall, Suez Canal Bank achieved record growth in its main financial indicators during 2024, with net profits jumping at a growth rate of 148% and an increase of 3.39 billion pounds over the past year, registering 5.68 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 2.29 billion pounds in 2023. 

The total portfolio of its customer deposits rose by 84% and an increase of 61.82 billion pounds over the past year, registering a portfolio size of 135.47 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared with 73.65 billion by the end of 2023.

The Bank's total asset portfolio also jumped by 75% and an increase of 77.25 billion pounds over the past year, registering 180.19 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 102.94 billion by the end of 2023.
