Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 22 April 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.04% to record EGP 463.123 bn compared to EGP 462.941 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.51% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 155.190 mn which represents 5.51% of the total trading volume today after 4.337 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.35% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.70% to reach 31.077 points EGX70 increase by 0.83% to record 9.146 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.46% to record 12.483 points.
