Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday,18 February 2025 with an decreased in the market cap by 0.30% to record EGP 479.479 bn compared to EGP 480.905 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.08% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 209.998 mn which represents 5.46% of the total trading volume today after 4.691 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.27% of the total trading volume.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.50% to reach 30.616 points EGX70 increases by 0.55% to record 8.593 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.61% to record 11.803 points.
