Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 3 December 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.04% to record EGP 481.604 bn compared to EGP 481.780 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.38% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 689.534 mn which represents 15.38% of the total trading volume today after 11.536 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.33% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.34% to reach 30.642 points EGX70 increases by 0.52% to record 8.504 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.30% to record 11.657 points.
