Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 24 September 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 453.321bn compared to EGP 455.454bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.29% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 299.534mn which represents 7.06% of the total trading volume today after 5.706 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.62% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease 'EGX30' alone and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.49% to reach 31.087 points EGX70 increase by 0.27% to record 7.371 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.10% to record 10.480 points.
