Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 23 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 1.05% to record EGP 444.865 bn compared to EGP 440.248 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.11% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 676.963 mn which represents 15.88% of the total trading volume today after 13.414million shares were exchanged capturing 1.35% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.70%, to record 29.285 points EGX70 increased by 0.69% to record 6.712 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.79% to record 9.635 points.
