Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 30 April 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 3.7% to record EGP 404.319 bn compared to EGP 420.032 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.21% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 469.735 mn which represents 13.39% of the total trading volume today after 8.994 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.37% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 6.01%, to record 26.097 points EGX70 decreased by 4.92% to record 5.873 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Fell by 5.22% to record 8.399 points.
