Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 13 February 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 1.5% to record EGP 473.822 bn compared to EGP 481.051 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.29% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.715 bn which represents 26.35% of the total trading volume today after 21.935 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.84% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.39% and 28.836 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 1.82% to record 7.027 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.95% to record 9.873 points.
