Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 12 December with decrease in the market cap by 0.58% to record EGP 402.359 bn compared to EGP 404.697 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.08% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 870.888 mn which represents 23.96% of the total trading volume today after 13.442 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.70% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 46.5 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.46% and 24.414 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.22% to record 5.192 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.02% to record 7.549 points.
