The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 17 October with Increase in the market cap by 2.07% to record EGP 328.142 bn compared to EGP 321.472 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.94% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 940.687 mn which represents 17.90% of the total trading volume today after 18.761 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.35% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 83.9mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 4.95% and 22.143 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.66% to record 3.871 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 2.97% to record 5.950 points.
