Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 1 August with Increase in the market cap by 0.26% to record EGP 277.405 billion compared to EGP 276.680 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.58% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 548.685 million which represents 21.40% of the total trading volume today after 11.583 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.45% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 27.5 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.46% and 17.663 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.16% to record 3.551 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.02 % to record 5.243 points.
