Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 13 June with decrease in the market cap by 0.06% or EGP 277.283 billion compared to EGP 277.116 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.26% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 710.141 million which represents 18.49% of the total trading volume today after 16.366 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.49% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 105 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.92% at 17.948 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.31% to record 3.604 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.63% to record 5.326 points.
