Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 21 March with increase in the market cap by 1.65% or EGP 253.941 billion compared to EGP 249.828 billion at the end of Monday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.84% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 348.572 million which represents 21.55 % of the total trading volume today after 7.764 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.72 % of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP160.3 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 2.69% at 15.403 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 3.05% to record 2.771 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 3.04 %to record 4.096 points.
