HD Bank, EGBANK, and SC Bank top fastest-Growing Listed Banks in Net interest Income During H1 2025

Housing and Development Bank topped the list of the fastest-growing banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange in terms of net interest income growth during the first half (H1) of 2025, with a growth rate of 62%.
EGBANK secured second place with a 54.4% increase, while SC Bank ranked third at 52%. ADIB-Egypt and Al Baraka completed the top five with growth rates of 35.1% and 27.5%, respectively.
According to First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing listed banks by net interest income in H1 2025, Housing and Development Bank led the list after its net interest income grew by 62% during the period, reaching EGP 13.30 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 8.21 billion at the end of 2024.
The ranking, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, showed that all banks achieved positive growth in net interest income, except one bank recorded notable declines during the first half of 2025,
EGBANK claimed second place with a growth rate of 54.5% in H1 2025, as its net interest income increased to EGP 3.99 billion by the end of June, up from EGP 2.58 billion at the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank ranked third after its net interest income rose by 52% in H1 2025, reaching EGP 3.87 billion by the end of June, compared to EGP 2.54 billion at the end of 2024.
ADIB-Egypt came fourth with a 35.1% increase, as net interest income rose to EGP 9.36 billion by the end of June 2025, from EGP 6.93 billion at year-end 2024.
In fifth place, Al Baraka recorded a 27.5% rise in net interest income, reaching EGP 3.64 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 2.85 billion at the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all figures and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on the independently published financial statements of each bank as of June 2025.
