SC Bank, saib and EGBANK top fastest-growing listed banks in direct loans during Q1-2025

First Bank list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in direct loans to corporates during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list, after its portfolio jumped by about 38.8%, reaching EGP 27.42 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 19.75 bn by the end of 2024.
This list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that all the banks under analysis achieved positive growth rates in their total direct loan portfolios to corporates during the first quarter of 2025, while the Egyptian Faisal Islamic Bank was absent from the list due to the lack of necessary data.
Returning to the list, Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» seized second place, after its corporate direct loan portfolio increased by 27.2% during the first quarter of this year, recording EGP 9.47 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 7.45 bn by the end of 2024.
Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGBANK» came third, thanks to an increase in the volume of its corporates direct loans by about 23.1% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 20.60 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 16.74 bn by the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked fourth, after its direct corporate financing portfolio rose by 17.2% during the first quarter of this year, recording EGP 69.80 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 59.54 bn by the end of 2024.
As for fifth place, it went to the Egyptian Export Development Bank «EBank», as its corporate direct loans portfolio jumped by about 11.2% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 15.01 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 13.50 bn by the end of 2024.
