ADIB – Egypt, EGBANK, and Suez Canal Bank Among the Fastest-Growing Listed Banks in Customer Loans During H1 2025

First Bank list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in total customer loans during H1 2025 revealed that Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB – Egypt) topped the list, as its total portfolio increased by about 24.8% during the first half of this year, recording EGP 128.21 Bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 102.74 Bn by the end of 2024.
The list, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that they all achieved positive growth rates in their clients’ total loan portfolios during H1 2025.
Returning to the list, EGBANK took the second position, as its total customer loans increased by about 22.8% during the first half of the current year, reaching EGP 58.98 Bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 48.03 Bn by the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank secured the third position, after its total customer loans rose by about 21.6% during the first 6 months of the year, recording EGP 96.25 Bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 79.17 Bn by the end of 2024.
Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) came in fourth place, as its customer loan portfolio climbed by about 19.8% during H1 2025, reaching EGP 466.81 Bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 389.57 Bn by the end of 2024.
As for the fifth position, it went to saib, after its total customer loans jumped by about 19.2% during the first half of the current year, amounting to EGP 78.61 Bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 65.93 Bn by the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are in accordance with the independent financial statements announced for each bank at the end of June 2025.
