Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 28 March with increase in the market cap by 0.10% or EGP 251.758 billion compared to EGP 251.509 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.49% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 166.366 million which represents 10.36% of the total trading volume today after 4.145 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.15% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.27% at 15.998 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.20% to record 2.817 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by0.31%to record 4.207 points.
