The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 28 February with decreased in the market cap by 1.39% or EGP 279.904 billion compared to EGP 283.840 billion at the end Monday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.17% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 465.547 million which represents 21.03% of the total trading volume today after 10.695 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.11% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreases and turnover amounted EGP 112.6 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.56% at 17.162 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Rose by 0.18% to record 3.023 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.9% to record 4.507 points.
