Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 4 Abril with decrease in the market cap by 0.15% or EGP265.045 billion compared to EGP265.437 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.69% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 293.019 million which represents 13.94% of the total trading volume today after 8.141 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.34% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 74.8 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.34% at 17.111 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.89% to record 2.955 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.34 %to record 4.447points.
