The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 6 June with increase in the market cap by 0.25% or EGP 277.131 billion compared to EGP 276.447 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.01% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 224.116 million which represents 6.84% of the total trading volume today after 6.366 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.41% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 171 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.84% at 17.637 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 2.54% to record 3.556 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 2.11% to record 5.230 points.
