Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 2 May with increase in the market cap by 2.42 % or EGP 270.419 billion compared to EGP 264.017 billion at the end yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.52% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 231.539million which represents 15.30% of the total trading volume today after 6.469 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.65% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.06% at 17.366 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.42% to record 3.009 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.34% to record 4.562 points
