The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 18 April with decrease in the market cap by 5.98% or EGP 266.571 billion compared to EGP 283.528 billion at the end last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.38% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 383.485 million which represents 19.71% of the total trading volume today after 11.788 million shares were exchanged capturing 3.19% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 7.9 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.75% at 17.671 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.24% to record 2.986 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.87% to record 4.528 points
