Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 14 March with decreased in the market cap by 1.63% or EGP 255.675 billion compared to EGP 259.921 billion at the end of Monday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.71 %of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 265.147 million which represents 21.56% of the total trading volume today after 6.336 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.65% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 148.3 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.49% at 15.505 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.62 % to record 2.794 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.26% to record 4.128 points.
