Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 11 April with Increase in the market cap by 0.34% or EGP261.693billion compared to EGP260.810 billion at the end yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.80% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 254.180 million which represents 15.11% of the total trading volume today after 5.683 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.34% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 210.1 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.41% at 17.011 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.32% to record 2.987 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.36% to record 4.496 points.
