Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 7 March with decreased in the market cap by 1.88% or EGP 273.791 billion compared to EGP 279.027 billion at the end Monday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.66% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 440.201 million which represents 23.38% of the total trading volume today after 9.379 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.06% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreases and turnover amounted EGP 127.5 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 2.21% at 16.871 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.86% to record 3.093 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declines by 1.92% to record 4.563 points.
