Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 23 May with decrease in the market cap by 0.02% or EGP 269.156 billion compared to EGP 269.204 billion at the end yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.13% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 152.640 million which represents 8.66% of the total trading volume today after 3.739 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.42% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increased and turnover amounted EGP 65.9 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 014% at 16.790 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.87% to record 3.066 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.42% to record 4.609 points.
