The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 29 August with decrease in the market cap by 0.37 % to record EGP 298.436 bn compared to EGP 299.531 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.71% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 650.107 mn which represents 23.17% of the total trading volume today after 14.362 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.05% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 81.4 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.24% and 18709 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.09 % to record 3. 806 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.94 % to record 5585 points.
