Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 11 July with increase in the market cap by 1.05% or EGP 269.893 billion compared to EGP 267.088 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.44% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 370.876 million which represents 18.72% of the total trading volume today after 9.209 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.65% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 38.5 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.13% at 17.223 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.85% to record 3.422 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.90% to record 5.077 points.
