Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 20 June with increase in the market cap by 0.02% or EGP 284.104 billion compared to EGP 284.059 billion at yesterday 's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.63% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 266.700 million which represents 12.90% of the total trading volume today after 8.144 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.82% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 39.9 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.37% at 18.070 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 2.05% to record 3.652 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.47% to record 5.381 points.
