Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 18 July with increase in the market cap by 0.09% to record EGP 278.332 billion compared to EGP 278.073 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.20% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP231.921 million which represents 15.54% of the total trading volume today after 5.232 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.22% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 1.8 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.55% and 17.671 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.07% to record 3.458 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.36% to record 5.144 points.
