The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 4 July with decrease in the market cap by 1.26% or EGP 277.174 billion compared to EGP 280.703 billion at last Monday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.25% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 327.356 million which represents 22.34% of the total trading volume today after 8.241 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.27% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 30.9 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.31% at 17.729 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.36% to record 3.567 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.44% to record 5.281 points.
