The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 5 September with decrease in the market cap by 1.02 % to record EGP 301.161 bn compared to EGP 304.251 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.71% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 295.856 mn which represents 13.26% of the total trading volume today after 6.313 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.67% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 93.6 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.71% and 19.145 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.35% to record 3. 867 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.28 % to record 5657 points.
