Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 25 July with decrease in the market cap by 0.07% to record EGP 280.534 billion compared to EGP 280.772 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.66% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 523.958 million which represents 32.32% of the total trading volume today after 1.142 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.78% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 12.7 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.40% and 17.760 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.25% to record 3.463 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.17% to record 5.147 points.
