Suez Canal Bank, saib and ADIB - Egypt top fastest growing listed banks in retail deposits during H1-2025

First Bank list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in retail deposits during the First Half of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal topped the list, with a growth rate of 33.4% during the first half of this year, as its retail deposit portfolio rose to EGP 28.18 bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 21.13 bn by the end of 2024.

The list, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange for which the necessary financial data were available during the period under analysis, revealed that 11 of them achieved positive growth rates in their total retail deposit portfolio, while two banks achieved a noticeable decline during the first Half of 2025.

Returning to the list, the Arab International Banking Company «saib» Bank took second place, as its portfolio of individual deposits increased by about 24.4%, reaching EGP 49.71 bn by the end of June .2025, compared to EGP 39.95 bn by the end of 2024.

As for Third place, it went to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt», as its portfolio of individual deposits jumped by about 24.1% during the first half of this year, reaching EGP 107.71 bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 86.80 bn by the end of 2024.

alBarka Bank came fourth, as its retail deposit portfolio increased by about 15.8% during the first half of this year, recording EGP 72.57 bn at the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 62.69 bn at the end of 2024.

The United Bank ranked fifth, as its portfolio of individual deposits increased by about 15% during the first half of this year, reaching EGP 42.52 bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 36.97 bn by the end of 2024.
