Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 24 October with decrease in the market cap by 0.35% to record EGP 325.387 bn compared to EGP 326.518 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.94% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 462.584 mn which represents 9.80% of the total trading volume today after 9.584 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.08% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 90.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.86% and 22.841 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.82% to record 4.200 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.46% to record 6.398 points.
