Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 3 October with Decrease in the market cap by 0.10% to record EGP 319.206 bn compared to EGP 319.535 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.51% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 252.195 bn which represents 15.61% of the total trading volume today after 5.122 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.98% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 172.6 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.98% and 19.925 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.98% to record 3.760points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.26% to record 5.584 points.
