Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 31 October with decrease in the market cap by 0.93% to record EGP 340.558 bn compared to EGP 343.763 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.22% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 382.822 mn which represents 8.10% of the total trading volume today after 8.545 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.86% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 83.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 3.78% and 23.573 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 2.15% to record 4.445 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 2.81% to record 6.689 points.
