The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 12 September with Decrease in the market cap by 0.68% to record EGP 305.707 bn compared to EGP 307.791 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.90% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 222.270 mn which represents 13.68% of the total trading volume today after 4.552 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.84% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Decrease and turnover amounted EGP 369 thousand on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.70% and 19.285 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declined by 0.49% to record 3.813 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.47 % to record 5.605 points.
